Hi Billy and Emma Thanks also for the training at the weekend, we (myself and Martin learnt loads). We've been putting the walking on a lead into practice and we are getting on great. Unfortunately Gus is back on the halti, but only cos the vet suggested it, so we don't irritate his airway further by pulling on his collar. Even though he's on his halti I'm still following the training and making him sit if he tries to get ahead. I would have to say the session was great as it has given us plenty to master, but in what I call with my training background digestable chunks. Having previously gone to puppy training classes we learnt more in one session with Billy than in 6 weeks at classes. Martin also found Billy's style easy to understand, as it has all suddenly clicked for him and he is really now starting to master Milly, where as before he would just get frustrated and give up. We'd like to perhaps spend a couple of months ensuring we have mastered all that we have learnt and then to spend some more time with Billy ironing out any areas for concern - not sure what they will be yet! Really glad I found Lets Go Walkies on my internet search! Kirsty and Martin Hi Billy, I just wanted to thank you for all your patience with my two year old border collie cross. He is a nervous dog & you have not only given him the confidence he needs to trust people but incorporated simple training while taking him out for walks. You seem to have a great rapport & understanding of individual dogs & are able to give them what they need to overcome any difficulties they may have with behaviour issues. Ziggy is now happy to go out for a walk having previously been very wary of men after a traumatic first year of life on the streets. Dear Billy, I am just writing to thank you and Let’s Go Walkies for being such a wonderful service. Every penny has been more than worthwhile. Rufus so enjoys his expeditions with you, be it walking or swimming. It is so reassuring to know that every time he goes off, he is in such expert hands. You always think of varied and stimulating walks, and I know that he will have a fantastic time as well as learning how to behave and socialise. Since Rufus has joined your club his behaviour has improved tremendously. You have helped boast his confidence and reassure him when faced with new situations and he is becoming a much more sociable young dog. I would like to thank you and Emma for all your advice and support when Rufus goes through his teenage tantrums! Your advice is so accurate and helpful. Rufus had such a fantastic time boarding with you. He came back so relaxed and contented, showing no signs of separation anxiety that he would have done at kennels. He was so loved, stimulated and expertly looked after. In fact, he views his stays as holiday camp. Many, many thanks for everything. I cannot praise your service more highly, and would recommend you to anyone who wants reliable, professional help with their very special dog. Dear Billy and Emma Please confirm to any prospective clients that both Dominic and I are very happy with the manner and professionalism that you display whilst looking after our two Weimaraners, Zola (male aged 4) and Belle (female aged 9). I am more than happy to recommend you to anyone who requires such a service. To add to this the noise and happiness displayed by my two dogs more than speaks for itself in recommending you for dog walking. Taking responsibility for two big dogs (as Weimaraners are) is no easy task but i am never worried when you are walking them. They always come home happy, content and tired. Knowing that every Thursday the pair of nutty Weimaraners will be walked leaving me the day free for my own pursuits is fantastic. I am also very happy that you hold a key to my house, therefore providing me with someone who can, in the event of an emergency be contacted to gain access to the dogs. Dear Billy, I’ve just given away my last Let’s Go Walkies leaflet to yet another friend who needs your services - could you drop off 1 or 2 more next week! The boys are obviously enjoying their walks with you, and I am pleased to have found a sensible dog walker at last !! As you know I work full time, and it’s a weight off my mind to know that I can rely on you not only to turn up as promised but I also know they are in safe hands. It’s been invaluable that you have been introducing them to other dogs occasionally and not letting them get away with the ‘big dog antics’ that dogs of their size can sometimes try. Thanks also for accommodating those last minute changes that life seems to throw up unexpectedly. All of my professional life I have desperately wanted a dog and never been able to have one due to my job requiring long hours, nights away from home and long journeys. That was until I spotted Billy and Emma’s advertisement for Lets Go Walkies and phoned them to see what services they offered. I needed someone who would be willing to look after a dog for me in the week, not restricted by 9-5 hours but someone flexible to recognise the requirement to drop off early, pick up late and sometimes be happy to miss a day when I had the luxury of being able to either work from home or pick up my dog early. I wanted someone that would be happy to take in a puppy and support me in the socialisation and training over those early months and someone I could trust to provide those much needed hugs and cuddles as well as the endless play and exercise that all puppies and dogs need. I found all of the above with Billy and Emma. I was able to fulfill my lifelong dream to have a little Westie called Ruby who from the age of 12 weeks has spent each week with them living a happy and contented life whilst learning to be a well trained, happy and social dog who loves adults, children and all other dogs. I cannot speak too highly of the service Billy and Emma provide. Through the trust I have built with them and the flexibility they have provided for me, I have been allowed to share my life with my wonderful Ruby that for so many years I never thought I would be able to do. To whom it may concern I have been using Billy of “Lets Go Walkies” since the beginning of March this year (2008) to walk my two Pyrenean Mountain Dogs.The Dogs can be a bit of a handful to walk but Billy copes very well, socializing them with his own and other dogs he walks. My dogs are happy to go with him, and look forward to his arrival. I have Billy reliable and trustworthy and would recommend him to anybody who is unable to exercise their dog. Barry John Whitehead.
